A little of this

I enjoy making earrings for the crafts fair. I used to do a lot of them, it's always fun trying to come up with new designs. I think the price will be; one pair 17 Euro ($23), 2 for 27 ($36). I'm still considering ...???

More crazy paper cuts, this time from Su Blackwell (via Pretty Images)

Thank You

I recieved this from Aspa today -- and that made my day. I think there are so many talented, inspiring bloggers out there, and I certainly think Aspa is one of them, I really admire her work. So thank you so much. I'm very happy and very honored.

"You make my day-Award" works like this:
1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day.
2. Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3. Display the "You Make my Day Award" logo with a link to the post that I wrote. (Optional)
4. Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

I'd like to pass the award to
Elsebeth
Marie-Louise Sundqvist
Julia Freund
Andrea Tachezy
Kelly Medina

Naming only five was hard -- I could go on and on.
Thank you all for inspiration and visits:)

January 21st

I like doodling words. Especially in english, which is not my own language. Words pop up that aren't real (or at least, that's what I think) ...
Sometimes it's better not to look them up

Illustration Friday: Plain

I considered this for a while. I wanted to do plain in the sense of not standing out, but I think everyone has something special or beautiful to them, so visualising someone "plain" would be hard.
Hence the blank face. Point is, this little guy feels much more plain than he actually is. What he doesn't know, is that in 56 hours and 23 minutes he will meet someone who will make him see what a very special and beautiful person he is.

Stephanie and Mav (who did 3191 A Year of Mornings) are now doing A Year of Evenings. Wonderful:)
Maditi is doing something similar.

Visiting

Sarajo Frieden (via Camilla Engman) has a truely original and very beautiful style.
Andrea tachezy made this beauty. She also took some beautiful winter picts from a horseback.
Worked today -- posting tomorrow. It's the darntest thing this time a'year -- there is app. 33 minutes of light each day ;)) But it's warm and cozy inside, and thread and needle awaits me. Have a good evening

A little stamp making

I didn't do this ...

Yann Arthus-Bertrand did. The guy with Earth From Above. I normally don't post other people's pictures here, but I will do what I have to, to lure you to this series of photos. Three, actually; Cattle, Horse and French -- proud, warm, funny, some quite bizarre, each one so beautiful.

This I did do: January 10th :)

Quick birthday card (not for me, though;-), with a warm thought to Elsebeth who loves palm trees.

... thank you for your words yesterday, both the kind ones and the ones reminding me not to take things to seriously. It helped me get my head on straight again, so thank you.
The "Grid" is inspired by Cally Creates' (and here) and Camilla Engmans lamp.
It is from the other day -- I made a few spreads ahead -- feel like cross stitching tonight:)

Creatively hung over
I don't know. I like this daily diary-project -- I really do -- but that's what my blog's about now, and that leaves me a tad regretful. Looking back, the posts before this was more -- well diversified. Is it because I'm posting more often than before, and variety will come? Or is it because it's so dark out, I'm not photographing? I'm not sure. I'm just saying.

In the meantime, I'll remind myself of Smosch, who has a great blog. It has a really nice feel to it -- it's mostly photographs, but also great drawings, some very funny crocheted creatures, and cool links. She made way to Ann Wood (birds and ships you must treat yourself to -- a wonderful artist). Via Ann Wood; While She Naps (stuffed animals) and Tamar Mogendorff (birds).
