June 29th/ IF: Fierce

... as in "this is one fierce colour for a wall".
Now it's the new colour of my hall. I have had white walls in the whole appartment for a decade, and I was in need for a change.
Also part of Dear Diary.

A Drive in the Country

Visited friends in their summer house this weekend; talking, walking, barbecueing and crab-fishing. I started (-yet another -) handbag:) I like bags. And I love knitting in the car. The bag is a hoot to knit, and I absolutely fell in love with the yarn - oohh the colours:)) (Please click for a larger image)
I hope you too had a wonderful weekend.

Please read Mansuetude's silly mood (made me so happy), and visit Flora Douville for soft watercolour alphabet animals (and more).

Shippin' out

Last night, after my previous post, I finished the stamps. Tonight, I will pack them, then ship them out Saturday. I hope you'll like them. Thank you, again, for playing:) And for your patience.

Calendar-illo, and some IOUs

Today I did a little illo for a future family calendar for the fridge. I had regular Photoshop-fun :o) (Please click for larger image)

I owe some of you stamps. I haven't forgotten. I have almost made them all, and will send them out as soon as they are done. I hope you will be patient with me.

Belinda Schneider has a real treasury. I particularly like her diva doll and her fruit plates:) And ohh, the delicacy. And the silence.

Islands

My dad sold his shop last year. For a whole lifetime, he first worked in, later owned, this old fashion barber shop, with original black mirror walls, old barber stools with ox blood-coloured leather seats, and the same brand shampoo, you could buy here twenty years ago.
It held the best atmosphere, and men came here as much for the calm and the conversation as for the trim. I'm glad I grew up here. I'm glad I went in here with my camera. And I'm glad my dad is enjoying his retirement.
I wish you a happy day

More Capoeira

– a few of the quick sketches I did of the dancers. Very quick - those guys moved sooo fast, and I am rusty :)

My wonderful weekend

was filled with this:

Watching these amazingly talented Capoeira-Mestres, -teachers and -students dance, practice, teach and perform, has been one awesome experience. Thank you.

Catch'n up

The weather is so nice here. Sitting by the computer in afternoons and weekends, is the last thing on my mind, instead I'm breeeeaaathing in sun, air and late-nights on my balcony.
A little forgotten phototechnique in a Dear Diary-page made a week ago.
I can't say I'm longing for rain, but I do look forward to being a little more active blogwise. In danish, there is a saying; hver ting til sin tid - which best translates, I think; all in good time.
