Back from Pomme Grande

Just returned from an absolutely amazing trip to New York. I possibly don't even have to say this - but it was grrreat! (Thanks, Tony)
You are likely to see a couple of NY-pictures here over the next couple of days, I took over 1,200 of them :-)

Oh well, home is nice also, I'm completely jetlagged, and there is (still) travel-clothes scattered all over the place. Sleep? Work? Wash clothes? Whattodo-whattodo...? I know: Blog!

Maybe a little NY-interview would fit in here...?
Ok!
- »So, Christine, what would you say was the best experience you had during your stay i New York City?«
- »Well, Janett, it's hard to say, really, there were so many great moments, but pushed to pick one, I'd say the day we detoured down Fulton Street to see if we could get underneath Brooklyn Bridge. We could, and it was beautiful« I also had my very first donut (ever!) here, which is also worth a mention«
...
»Oh wait! It was the trip to Purl Soho ... No-no, Museum of Natural History. No! Guggenheim. Central Park! That night we met friends and had pizza!!
... I give up. It was all so awesome.«
(and Janett has left)

Tina posted a new recipe at Clemmensen & Brok.
See you soon :)

There Are Reasons... Reason #3

Of course one can knit all year. And naturally, one can sit in the corner of the couch with a blanket in June. And light candles in april. But it all just come together so beautifully when the evenings darken, and the air gets colder.

One of the great great reasons I love the fall, is the curling up in the corner, with heavy socks on, a soft pillow, warm tea, and wool. Meters and meters of soft knittable wool.

Finished "Martha's" Tee

A fun knit. I didn't have a pattern – but borrowed Martha's shirt a while ago, to count rows and stitches. I especially liked the triangular pattern on the front. A fun knit indeed ...

I love IHannah's inspiration mosaics. Here's the one from September.

Risengrød for dinner

First time we had risengrød for dinner this year. When this happens, we know for sure that Summer is over, and Winter is about to call.

This (not-so-healthy) dish is made from white rice, milk and salt (cooked for an hour), and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and butter. It's rich and yummy, and my stomach complained for hours after :-D Good thing we don't make this too often.

Handmade Romance posted this cute pin.
And Frankie's diary. I love this. Wish I was in Australia (for numerous reasons ;-)

Speaking of which – Gracia and Louise recently returned from Europe. Welcome back girls :-)

Crafty

These punches practically jumped into my arms at local craft store ...
I can think of a gift wrapping or two where a bunch of these might look puuhrrdy :-)

Rina posted a book interview with me at her blog on books; Bibliofilia. Thank you Rina :-)

My dear and talented friend and colleague, Tina, has posted fruity beauties at Clemmensen & Brok.

There Are Reasons... Reason #2

The light was so beautiful yesterday. All day, the Sun shone warmly with its autumly low light.
Sweet friends and happy tummies. Perfect day.

Today is a little cooler. In an hour or so I will go for a run, let the cool air bite at my cheeks, and let light fill me.

♫ Deepak Chopra and Claude Challe: Transendance. I love the sound of his words. (I have a book in English by Chopra, when I read it, my inner reading voice makes an Indian accent :-)) I don't mean it to - it just happens.)

One foot must be bigger than the other ...

– I swear I crocheted'em completely alike!

But only one of them fits, really. Ha! Same thing happened last time.
Never mind. Left one fits perfectly! –the right one ... almost. They are equally soft, warm and cozy
:o)

Again, the design is Sylver's. For purchase right here.

Work

After a long period of busy, I took it slow last week, doing litterally as little as absolutely possible. And I have nothing to show for it :-)

Got a few items back from the printers. One is this book catalogue I did for Aronsen Publishers. (a few spreads):

(this last page says "book marks" - cut out and use :-)

I hope you are well.
Happy Wednesday ♥
